How are you? This Sunday we played an incredibly fun show at the Whitehaus in Jamaica Plain with the absolutely amazing Woodrow Wilsons. They played in the Whitehaus basement and it reminded me of every wild, sweaty, manic show I’ve ever been to; it had so much of the DIY punk spirit that made me want to play music so much in the first place. If you guys haven’t heard the Woodrow Wilsons yet then you need to; they sound like Neutral Milk Hotel and Arcade Fire, with a punk energy that reminds me of Cap’n Jazz. http://www.myspace.com/thewoodrowwilsons
The show also served as a goodbye party for Laura from the Woodrow Wilsons, who will be on the Left Coast for a while, so a huge thank you to her for having us on such a special evening. But fear not, the Woodrow Wilsons will be back in 2011 with a new record.
Next week, on September 24th we will be playing with another Whitehaus band, The Points North at the awesome Rabbit Hole bookstore (which we’ve raved about in the past) in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. We hope to see some familiar faces from our September 4th show in Fitchburg when we played with Outsider Joe at the Rabbit Hole. Come hang out and split some orange soda pizza with us!
Also, we will be playing a house show with our good friends Radio Control in Lowell, hosted by Angie, who runs the 119 Gallery, one of our favorite venues. Look for more info below.
