Shows in Western Massachusetts

Hey everyone!

Tour has officially come to an end, but we are still very very busy here in Lion Cub. We recently played with the incredible Casiotone for the Painfully Alone at Lilly’s Pad in New Haven, Connecticut and with two great bands, The Mitchells and Watcher, at the Montague Book Mill in Montague, Massachusetts. Both shows were great fun and we’d like to thank Mark and Michael respectively for having us and the bands for being awesome. We have been on a serious lucky streak when it comes to playing with terrific bands.

Speaking of playing with terrific bands, this Friday, July 23rd we are playing with our best friends Aeroplane, 1929 and labelmates Big Kids at the Common Place in Wilbraham. Big Kids are seriously amazing, and I would be going to this show even if I wasn’t playing it, so please come out. It will also be Aeroplane’s last Massachusetts show for a while, as Alex is heading off to Graduate School, so please come out and wish them a fond (temporary) farewell. It will also be a day after Chelsey’s birthday, so make sure you come out and wish her a happy birthday!

Lastly, we are playing with the great Charles Burst at the Montague Book Mill in Montague, Massachusetts. Charles is a former bandmate of A.C. Newman, maestro of the great New Pornographers and a fantastic musician in his own right, so be there. Plus, the book selection was terrific when I was there just a few days ago, so it’s really a win-win all around. I saw a like-new copy of ‘Remembrance of Things Past‘ by Marcel Proust, so someone ought to snatch that up.

Details for both shows:

July 23rd – The Common Place
950 Glendale Road, Wilbraham, MA
w/ 1994!, Big Kids, Aeroplane, 1929

July 31st – The Montague Book Mill

w/ Charles Burst

Thanks guys!!!
